Neutralization is the process of bringing the existing waste water pH to a neutral value (pH 7.0).
A neutral pH is a prerequisite for the performance of biological waste water treatment. The process of neutralization is commonly used in industrial waste water which, depending on the type of applied technology, can have a pH of 1-14.
Adjusting pH values is done by adding chemicals in waste water. The type and amount of added chemicals depend on the pH value of waste water. The most commonly used base is NaOH or acid HCl.
The process of neutralization is carried out before secondary wastewater treatment processes.

Pipe mixer belongs to the group of static mixers and have high intensity of mixing fluids with a length of only a few tube diameters. Fully three-dimensional mixing is possible thanks to the corrugated panels of which mixer is made.
